Ed Emmerson is a Broker with Gonzalez Realty, an independent brokerage on the west shore of Lake Norman. He helps buyers and sellers make confident moves across Denver, Sherrills Ford, Terrell, and the surrounding west-shore communities, an area he has known for more than two decades. His brothers put down roots here back in 2001, and with family in the area ever since, Ed spent years visiting regularly before making it home himself in 2022.

Ed's path to real estate runs through two very different careers, both in Florida. He owned and operated a garage door installation and repair company, learning firsthand what it takes to run a service business and earn a homeowner's trust one job at a time. He then spent years in client success and sales coaching at Gartner, a global research and advisory firm, where he sharpened the habits of listening closely, working from data rather than guesswork, and helping people navigate high-stakes decisions. He brings both sides to every client: the hands-on, get-it-done instincts of a small-business owner and the clear, no-pressure guidance of someone trained to make complex choices simple.

That mix of long-time familiarity and an outsider's fresh eyes means Ed understands the area from both sides. He knows the questions newcomers ask, because he asked them too, and he knows the answers from real time spent here, not a brochure. When he is not working with clients, you will find him on the trails, hiking the Blue Ridge and Appalachians that drew him to this part of the country in the first place.
